Fifteen years of love, laughter, and countless adventures. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to share so many amazing memories with you over the past 15 years! That might mean we have aged a little bit and have some more gray hairs in our beards, 😉😂 but I'm appreciative to age alongside you! Oh what a year!

As the world watches the funeral of Queen Elizabet

As the world watches the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and her funeral procession from Westminster Abbey to Windsor Castle, it reminds me when I had the opportunity to see Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, at the Royal Agricultural Show in Coventry, England on July 2, 2002. She was wearing bright green colors as you can see in the photos I took on a camera with a film roll! There weren't any digital cameras back then. The next day the newspaper headline read, "Lime Green Queen Meets Brown Cow"! Today, so many people around the world morn her passing as the longest reigning monarch of the United Kingdom. May she rest in peace!

I love my new colorful glass wind chime & how it s

I love my new colorful glass wind chime & how it sounds! The chimes have sounded so nice throughout the month of June when the wind blew! It might be the last day of #PrideMonth, but #LGBTQIA+ communities will continue to come together & celebrate the freedom to be ourselves all year long because we still don't have full equality.

That's right, in 2022, all citizens of the #UnitedStates are not equal & do not all have the same rights & freedoms! The #EqualityAct passed the house, but has stalled in the senate. If it passed it would mean that discrimination based on sexual orientation & gender identity would be illegal across the country as the bill would make gender identity & sexual orientation a protected class under Federal Civil Rights law.

This Federal bill would prohibit discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, & gender identity in areas including public accommodations & facilities, education, federal funding, employment, housing, credit, & the jury system. Since this bill is not law yet, state lawmakers have created multiple legislative assaults on LGBTQIA+ communities. According to the Equality Federation, an LGBTQ+ advocacy organization that closely tracks these state level attacks, almost 400 anti-LGBTQIA+ bills were introduced across the country in 2021. These bills allow states to discriminate against LGBTQIA+ people & families, & they try to erase LGBTQIA+ people from education curricula, & of course the multitude of bills everyone has heard about that discriminate against transgender individuals.

As these discriminatory state level bills continue to be introduced, the need for the Senate to pass the Equality Act is urgent. LGBTQIA+ Americans are not fully protected from discrimination in 29 states & that includes North Carolina, the state I live in!

I hear & see so many people complain about Pride month & Pride gatherings, but Pride exists because of the history of minority groups who have struggled for decades to overcome prejudice & be accepted for who they are. The one thing I always try to remind others is that it is fine that you have your beliefs, religious or not, but you must remember that you can not force your beliefs onto

Playa de la Caleta is an iconic beach in Cádiz with spectacular views of the sunset. When you look out from the sandy beach, over the blue water, you can see the fisherman's boats along the shore and San Sebastian and Santa Catalina Castles on either side of the beach. If you get hungry you can always order something to eat at the local cafes and bars along the beach.

Paseo Fernando Quiñones is located at one end of

Paseo Fernando Quiñones is located at one end of La Caleta beach and is formed by a long and narrow promenade over the sea. This narrow strip of land is actually called an isthmus because it has water on both sides. This bridge connects the mainland with the nearby Cádiz Lighthouse and the Castle of San Sebastián that is found at the end of it. This walkway has wonderful vistas along with stunning views of the sunset!

Campo del Sur is a local public school in Cádiz, along the Costa De La Luz, in the southern Andalusian region of Spain! I just loved the architecture of the school and it also happens to be right along the coast. Can you imagine growing up and attending this school with a view of the Atlantic Ocean?
